About Santa Fe Tree Farm......

               Nestled between West Alameda and Agua Fria Road, on the San Ysidro Crossing, is a well kept secret, The Santa Fe Tree Farm. Donn Carpenter, owner and operator, started his company in 2003.  He specializes in specimen trees and native landscapes. The selection is unique in that it is mainly older plant material. We are the only tree farm that nurtures and sells mature shade throwing trees and mature conifers. Trees farmed locally have the best chance of flourishing since they have an already proven track record to survive Santa Fe's cold high mountain desert climate.

We are able to do live relocation and transplant mature trees which can make a significant and immediate impact on the landscape around a home or business. Mature trees provide form and function in both the contemporary and traditional landscape. They make an imperative statement to the viewer and dictate focus, space and lines. Since trees affect such important elements of the design process, it only makes sense that we become more involved. We are here to make suggestions to clients and  help design landscapes that are integral and aesthetically pleasing. Our goal is to enhance and support a sustainable native landscape.

                      So think of the character, color and size of a tree. Imagine gnarly, twisted trunks that stray off in completely unconventional growth habits.
